CHELSEA continue their quest for honours on three fronts with this fourth round replay against a club they've not lost to in over five years, winning eight and drawing four of 12 League and Cup meetings. Jose Mourinho's side had to scrap for their second 1-1 draw of the season at Goodison Park on the weekend before last. A patched-up Toffees team took the lead after 36 minutes with a James McFadden header, and they held that advantage until Frank Lampard's deserved equaliser 17 minutes from time.

EVERTON were the first club to take points off Chelsea in their defence of the Premiership trophy, but travel to West London underdogs in this tie having been unable to keep Mourinho's men at bay on the Saturday before last. The Merseysiders have not beaten Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in 11 League and Cup visits, since a 0-1 success on 26 November 1994.

Lineups:

Chelsea: Cudicini, Cech, Johnson, Gallas, Carvalho, Terry, Huth, del Horno, Lampard, Essien, Maniche, Gudjohnsen, Makelele, Diarra, J Cole, Crespo, Robben, Wright-Phillips.

Everton: Wright, Hibbert, Weir, Ferrari, Nuno Valente, Osman, Davies, Arteta, Neville, Cahill, Kilbane, Beattie, McFadden, Turner, Naysmith, Anichebe, Hughes, Boyle.

Hertha BSC v Bayern München    +11.5

Hertha borrowed Vaclav Sverkos untill the end of the season, in exchange of the 22 years old czech forward & german international Nando Rafael.
"Sverkos' skills will improve Herta's attack" said the general manager of the Berlin Club.. Dieter Hoeness

Vaclav Sverkos played in 2003 at Borussia Monchengladbach in 70 games, scoring 17 goals. In this season Sverkos evolved in 13 matches at Borussia Monchengladbach, scoring just 1 goal.

It might not be much... but I think that he will somehow try 2 push himself, because of the rather weak evolution at B.M., and will probably raise the team moral in the 2nd half and finish with at least a draw.

Sorry for my bad English :)

Chelsea v Liverpool    +10.5

Frank Lampard(Chelsea) interview:
"There were a few statements coming out from their end that the title race is over. We don't see it that way."

Liverpool Manager:
"We need to go there thinking only about three points, just as we will against Wigan, Charlton and Arsenal."

Chelsea are hoping Carlton Cole will have recovered from his groin injury in time to face Liverpool, though Paulo Ferreira still has a thigh problem.

Michael Essien (ankle) is struggling and Didier Drogba and Geremi are at the African Cup of Nations.

Liverpool are expected to recall Jamie Carragher, Mohamed Sissoko and Xabi Alonso for the Stamford Bridge contest.

Robbie Fowler could start the game as Peter Crouch and Djibril Cisse have not scored in their last six games.

Starting line-up:

Chelsea: Cech, Cudicini, Johnson, del Horno, Gallas, Terry, Carvalho, Huth, Lampard, Makelele, Gudjohnsen, Maniche, J Cole, Robben, Duff, Crespo, Diarra, Wright-Phillips, Pidgeley.

Liverpool:Reina, Finnan, Carragher, Hyypia, Agger, Warnock, Riise, Traore, Luis Garcia, Gerrard, Hamann, Alonso, Sissoko, Kewell, Crouch, Cisse, Morientes, Fowler, Carson, Dudek, Kromkamp.

Liverpool have won exactly 30 of 60 Premiership matches under Rafael Benitez. The Spanish manager has certainly brought the sparkle back to the red half of Merseyside

It's gonna be a verry hard battle but i think Chelsea will win.(Undefeated in 16 in all competitions.)

The goals of Gary Taylor-Fletcher, Danny Schofield, Andy Booth and Pawel Abbott have put Peter Jackson's side in third place in League One, and Rovers boss Brian Little is well aware of their qualities.

He said: "An awful lot of teams in recent weeks have been brought back into the pack. But Huddersfield are one of perhaps six teams who can say they shouldn't get relegated. Not many teams outside of the top six have got themselves in a position of not having to look over their shoulder. There are four or five teams after the final play off place and then most teams are looking at the wrong end of the table.

"If you take their last ten games of last season and their first 30 games of this season, I think they would be very close to being top of the table. Credit to them for that. They are young, energetic and enthusiastic. Peter has got himself a good crop of kids there and they are proving themselves to be one of the best teams in the division.

"Peter has done a great job there. I've known him for some years and he is quite a character who I get on very well with.

"We have to try to reproduce the form going forward that we had against Bournemouth and Southend and we have to take our chances. If we do that it will make a massive difference to us."

Meanwhile, the Manager was pleased with the arrival of David Raven, a signing he hopes could pave the way for further youngsters signing on loan from divisions above.

He added: "We like to think that in the last three months, we have brought in four players of good standing. You can tell David knows the game, he has been playing among good players at a club on the up and we like to think he'll enjoy playing first team football here. He's very versatile and I'm looking forward to seeing him play.

"We're trying our best to show clubs like Liverpool that we are a good club for some of their younger players to get some experience with. There's a lot of Premiership teams with big squads and young players not getting opportunities and clubs like ourselves have to take advantage of that."

Rovers will be without Raven for the visit of Huddersfield after he picked up a ligament strain in his last Reserve match for Liverpool. The only other absentee will be John Achterberg who is out with a groin injury.

Huddersfield should have a full squad to choose from, with striker Andy Booth having returned to training following a back injury.
